My furs got stolen…again. I got tricked this time.

I was minding my own business. Mom gave Macy and me rawhide bones. I’ve never had a bone before!

Mine was cheese flavored and Macy’s was plain – Mom gave me first pick!

It was all a set-up!

After half an hour, Macy was all done with her bone and I was JUST getting mine to be chewy on the little corner piece (gimme a break, I’m small!). That’s when it happened. I was wrangled and thrown into the bathroom.

Shaved to the skin.

To make matters worse – come bath time, Mom let Macy watch! She saw me in ALL of my nakedness!!!

To make matters even worse than that – she was licking me the whole time!!! Ummm, hello??? Mom??? What did I ever do to deserve this?!

Then, to make matters the WORSTEST – when Mom took me out of the bath tub and wrapped me in the towel, Macy started chewing my leg through the towel!!!

All my beautiful fur – gone. Along with my pride.

It was all very awful and I’d just like to forget it ever happened.

Trying to sleep the memories away.

Franklin seems to be getting better…slowly. She is attempting to stand even though she’s not strong enough just yet. Every night Mom has been drawing her a warm bath and then they cuddle….yeah, she cuddles with her instead of me.

Mom tried explaining herself by saying that cuddles always make everyone feel better. I hate to admit it but she must be right because Franklin is improving.

Oh! Oh! Oh!

I almost forgot to tell you the super bad thing Macy did this morning. Mom was going into the kitchen to put Macy’s kibble in her bowl and Macy was walking right by her side. Mom got to the counter and Macy jumped RIGHT ON THE COUNTER!!!! All 4 paws were up there! Mom said words I’m not allowed to type or even think in my head. Now she and Dad are REALLY scared to ever let Macy out without a leash. Our fence is only 4 feet and Macy can easily clear that. Too bad she’s not a pure breed because she’d probably do really well in agility contests (if she ever decided to listen, of course).

Anywho, Macy was bad and Mom just put her in her crate for a timeout. That means I need to get off of here and go steal the limelight for a bit…remind Mom who the best dog in the world is 😉

Happy Friday!

Stay tuned for a contest announcement coming later this evening!

Hi Noodle Doodle – Aren’t you cold (He! He! He!)? When did you get all those spots (He! He! He!)? Nothing like airing everything in public (He! He! He!)! Sorry buddy. I just couldn’t resist. We like the pic of your Mum and Franklin but then, your Mum has clothes on and Franklin has a nice white coat ……. pity about you buddy! (He! He! He!) Woof! Ray.

    • Raaaaaay! Ughhh. Mom said the same thing about my spots after she shaved me. She thinks I probably just seem spottier now that Macy, who’s practically all white, is here. Excuse me while I go find my winter coat. *ear licks*

You should put out a reward for the fur stealers. Are they making pelt blankets from your furs? Anyway, you’re still adorable! Macy wil give your Peeps a run for their money while she’s a pup. She’s seeing the world in a new way and will explore away. Good the Peeps will keep a close eye on her. As she matures, she will calm down and not be sooooo obnoxious!

    • I wish they were at least using my fur but nooooo. It goes right in the garbage can! So rude! Macy’s giving ME a run for my money. Mom says I was just like her, only smaller. I say, NO WAY! I’ve never talked in my whole life add much as she has in just 3 weeks. *ear licks*

We agree with CorkScott – you should have sunscreen onto not get melanoma. Furs are there for a reason. Instead of “shaving” Elsa, we have her clipped short – about 1/2 inch for some skin protection. Me n Andy get hand stripped and our furs stay long.

      • Mom is imploring me to tell you that she does not let me stay out in the sun without sunscreen like this. My fur has to be short like this because of my bad allergies. It’s not mom’s preference, that’s for sure. She hates grooming me. Thanks for caring, friends. It means a lot to me and Mom! *ear licks*

Agility is not just for pure bred dogs. Dogs need their fur for a reason. Hairless is not good in Florida. You can get a bad sun burn. Tell mom to put sun screen on you. You are lucky that you don’t live in our house. All bones are stolen by siblings or swallowed whole. We are glad that Franklin is doing better.

  7. Noodle, darling, what happened to your wonderful cheese rawhide bone? I hope Macy didn’t eat it while you were being violated.

I had a wolf hybrid put my back leg in her mouth while Mom was holding me and walking up to her Mom’s door. It almost scared the cr…oops! out of me. At least you were reasonably sure Macy wasn’t going to bite it off. That hybrid had one of her back legs cut off, and I thought she was going to replace it with mine!

Oh, and when I was a bit younger I made vertical leaps up onto the dining room table. The first time i did it Mom took me off it and told me to do it again (she thought I had help). So I did – right there in front of her. I am quite athletic, you know.

Also, agility doesn’t require a dog to be purebred. Maybe if your Mom or Dad got Macy out to do that, you would have some peace and quiet while she was gone. Or maybe they could get someone else to take her and that person would get really attached to her and your folks would give her to them. That’s what happened with Riley and my brother Andrew. Riley is leaving with Andrew to live in another state the end of the month. Yea!

    • I just had a Disney movie villain visual in my head as I read that story about your leg! Macy didn’t get my bone, Mom put it on top of the refrigerator. We had no idea that mixed breeds could be in agility. Mom is going to look into it. Hmmm. I wonder if someone WOULD take her! Muahahahaha! *plotting* thanks Lexi! *ear licks*

      • Yes, my life, once again, flashed before my eyes. And as a general rule, mixed breeds can be in anything not requiring AKC registration, such as an AKC dog show. Flyball, agility, tracking, freestyle, etc.
Noodle, I will plot with you any day! ❤ Love your spots!

  8. Noodle would it help to know that you look adorable when we can see all your fabulous spots when you’ve had the de-furring process? Too bad Macy got to see you nekkid though – hope she doesn’t tell the world! Also too bad she bit your leg but it seems she got a time out so that’s good – lets you be TOP DOG for a while like you should be ALWAYS. Franklin and your Mom look like great cuddlers…..I’m glad Franklin is better! Love is the BESTEST medicine.

    Hugs, sammy

  10. OH your cute spotty belly!!! Poor Noodle seen all naked.

Tell your mom Macy can do agility no matter what breed she is! Ziva loved agility! We recently switched to flyball though and I think it’s way more fun than agility, it’s also less expensive and a much faster paced day. I love the team aspect as well and again no breed, size, or age discrimination. Anyone can do flyball!! Tell your mama to look into it, it would be a good challenge for Macy’s brain and keep her busy then she wouldn’t be chewing on your poor footsies, she’d be sleeping from all the fun and training. 🙂

I have videos up if your mama hasn’t seen them!

I agree that you have had a traumatic shaving and bathing experience. But on the upside, your spots are AMAZING! You look great, buddy. Your parents are smart to keep Macy on a leash. I am sometimes on my leash IN THE HOUSE, in case of flying like a bird and walking on tables as if they’re the floor.

    Love and licks,

Noodle, You look very handsome in your spots! Chewing your leg through the towel oh Macy sure does likes to play. I’m glad Franklin is getting better. Tell mom I like the picture of the two of them cuddling. When I was a little girl I had a pet goose who was crippled, I would take him for walks by holding his wing. His name was Elmer and his best friend after me of course, was a pig! Love and cuddles!

  15. Oh boy now you have a nekked belly like me :o) Be careful with the stinging nettles when you write a pee-mail :o) Macy is a very talented counter-surfer, but I agree with your pawrents, it seems that you need a fence in Alcatraz-Style. We had to replace ours too with a 6ft privacy fence, my mom sent 87 silent Arrrrooooos! to the sky as she had to paint that stuff :o)

  16. Oh, Noodle you poor thing!! I understand about dealing with bad allergies. I have them myself. Rocky had them pretty bad. He had to take daily medication, have special baths, eat special food, and wasn’t allowed to roll in certain grasses. You are so lucky to have a mom who loves you so much and who takes such good care of you. I know it’s rough, but hang in there! I’m glad to hear that Franklin is doing better too! That’s wonderful! Jacques and I are at a loss for words when it comes to Macy. She is turning out to be something else! But, that’s the fun of having a new puppy, right? (Tell your mom to keep reminding herself of that. Lol!) Sending love and puppy power to you and your family!

    • Oh man! I’m sorry you have yucky allergies too! My Mom is my favorite person (sorry dad!). Mom is meeting under her breath about Macy right now. I told her what you said and, I’m not sure, but I think she said a lot of words I’m not allowed to type. Of course, they weren’t directed at you! *ear licks*

    • Siddhartha you made my Mom laugh. She just thinks you’re the cutest thing.

Anywho, yes, it was a LOT of humiliation. I mean, there’s a door on the bathroom AND a shower curtain for a reason!

Franklin is still a work in progress. We don’t know what the future is going to bring. She’s simply not eating enough.

Macy….I have nothing left to say about that weirdo.
