Hi, friends! Are you still there?! It’s been SO long since I’ve been on here.
I’m just gonna stick to the highlights of what’s happened since my last big post.
Macy
- On October 28th, Mom took Macy to the vet and x-rays determined she DOES have hip dysplasia.
She’s being treated with Novox anti-inflammatory, Duralactin supplement, and Glycoflex supplement. Ideally, she should be swimming twice a week but Mom’s having trouble finding a local hydrotherapy facility. Mom also has to look into cold laser therapy.
- After her x-rays, she was completely stoned from the sedation for more than 12 hours. Mom thought she was going to have to go back to the vet in the morning because she was so out of it for so long. She even peed the bed because she could hardly move.
- A couple days ago, she made friends with some goats and a horse.Mom said to Dad, “Did you ever think our craziest dog would be the best behaved in public?” Ummm…HOW RUDE! (but true)
Molly
- All is good in Molly-land. She’s enjoying the cooler weather. It brings more things out to hunt.
Jamison
- It seems Jamison is done with living in the office 24/7. He’s been braving the living room more and more. This makes Mom happy because he was getting FAT! This makes Macy even happier because she LOVES him and all she wants to do is give him ear licks.
Me
- I have been antsy. Way antsier than usual. I’m doing this thing that’s driving Mom and Dad crazy – I lick them ALL the time. I can’t stop. Lick, lick, lick, lick , lick. That’s all I do. There’s been a lot going on and Mom and Dad are working to keep things calmer. Mom tells me that no dog is more in tune with their owners’ emotions than I am.
I hope all of you are okay. I will do my best to stop by to visit your blogs.
Hi Noodle, nice to hear of you and the family.

Oops! I read your post to quickly. I’m sorry buddy. Now that I think about it Bonnie, Belle and Bess are doing a lot of licking at our house too. Bess is also been giving us her soggy stuffies as a gift or to keep safe for her, we aren’t sure which and she isn’t telling!

Shelby s suffering from the licking disease too. She did such a good job on my legs that it started to bleed. all of them are into licking. I don’t use beg spray ore lotion. I’m afraid that they will get sick from it. We hope that Macy will feel better soon.

Hi, PSH! Everyone told me to tell you they said hi. Especially Jamison. He said something about you guys having a special bond because you’re both black cats that lived wild before you found your furever homes.
I’m doing a little better with my licking. I WAS fretting over the stress I could feel coming off Mom and Dad but things are getting better now.
I tried doing the mee-ohms. They worked! Thanks for the tip!

Great update, N. Glad to see everything is under control over there. Your family must be delicious if you’re licking them so much. Do they taste like candy or something??

Sometimes Mom tastes sweet because she puts lotion on her body. Only sometimes though. I like licking lotion off. Dad tastes like sweat and I LOVE licking sweat and tears. Those are my favorites.

Macy. Well-mannered. Yeah, these words usually don’t go together. I wonder what she’s up to. How does she become so calm in public? Can I get her to do that at home?

Bummer about Macy. Every time River bumps into Bear and knocks him down, I warn her she’s gonna have it a lot worse given her legs are so jacked up. Bear’s been doing the laser therapy for his arthritis. I doubt its done much, but the vet and the techs swear by it. (For him, I’m pretty sure all the other stuff we are doing for him make a bigger difference.) Anyways, hopefully you find a place she can swim. That would be awesome – and help get out some of her energy!

Noodle, so good to hear from you sweet boy. I am sure you are reacting to your folk’s stress and are trying to help. You’re a good boy like that. As far as Macy goes, the cold laser therapy is great. It helped Lexi a lot. So did the acupuncture. The vet and tech said the cold laser therapy is so wonderful that they even use it on themselves.
By the way, that horse has some very odd markings. Love, Mom #2

your pawrents are right… that is a surprise that your wild child likes goats and horses… I fear them… it is scary to see them with humans on their back, I probably watched Sleepy Hollow too often and have a problem now with horse men :o) We cross our paws that the cold laser therapy is possible and it will work pawsome for Macy :o)

I think she thought the horse was a really big dog. She was so good and didn’t bark or anything. I would’ve gone bonkers. No way am I letting something that big that close to me without telling it who’s boss! *ear licks*

Oh Noodle……I think you’re just picking up on stress from your humans and are giving them some comforting licks. That’s sweet but I bet they take showers all the time so you don’t have to do that you know! HAHA Sorry about Macy’s dysplasia – her meds should help her deal with that. Otherwise sounds like life is good for you! Sending you hugs – you have been missed!

Hi, Sammy! Yeah, they’re not too fond of my comforting licks. They seem to have the opposite effect on them (yikes). I have to hop on over to your blog and see what you’ve been up to. *ear licks*

Oh dear friend – poor Macy. I’m so sorry to hear that and I do hope that her treatments and medicines work for her. I’m definitely sending her some hogs and snout kisses sweets. And Noodle – you are licking your mom/dad. OMP – Houdini has been doing that to mom these days like non-stop as well. Strange huh? Ya’ll hang in there together okay my friend. XOXO – Bacon

Hiiiiiii Ruby! I gots some nice hips huh? Well, aside from the fact that they are a little bits messed up. At least they’re pretty to look at! I will give you lessons on behaving in public ONLY if I can show you how much fun you can have at home if you act like me when I’m home 🙂 Kisses! Macy

Very true about the critter hunting, Ms. Monika!! Macy’s oblivious to everything. Even her hips. She walks all wonky but it she doesn’t even seem to notice.

Hi, Dennis! So good to hear from you. Thanks for the information. I’ll be sure to pass it on to Macy and Mom. As soon as Macy’s insurance authorizes treatment, Macy will start with cold laser. So far there’s nowhere around here with that watery doom thingy. Her swimming may just have to wait until Spring. Glad you’re feeling a bit better. *ear licks*
