Some of you may remember Caitlyn, the dog whose story went viral after she was found with her muzzle taped shut for days. Charleston Animal Society did extensive surgeries to save her tongue and muzzle.
She is now doing INCREDIBLE!!!! Watch her have her “Dog’s Best Day” here:

I’ve followed this story from the very beginning, and marvel at this dog. Bless her caregivers and family! (Not to mention what I’d do to the POS who taped her muzzle shut.)

We love happy endings…….this was a particularly sad story but she was a strong pup who managed to survive such extreme cruelty. Bless her!!

We’ve heard of many cruelty cases before but this one was….I can’t even find the right words. Horrible, disgusting, cringe-worthy, etc. We’re sure that once the trial is over, Caitlyn will find a most perfect furever home! *ear licks*

That’s a beautiful story, but we can’t believe anyone would be so cruel. We hope the perpetrator gets a harsh sentence. Thanks for sharing that. We hadn’t heard about Caitlyn.

It was truly stomach-turning. In the US, we couldn’t escape stories of Caitlyn, especially via Facebook. Her plight has increased animal cruelty awareness and has been the catalyst for drastic changes in the cruelty laws. Even if the perpetrator escapes major jail time, he’ll have to face the wrath of animal loves all over the US, and even internationally. He’s probably safer in prison.
