This week’s Memory Monday has us traveling back in time to May 31, 2014.
Ahhh, yes, the cruddy day Grandpa (Mom’s Dad) bought Dad guinea hens for his birthday.
Look at them, all cute and seemingly innocent.
They sure had my family fooled. But not me. Noooooo. I KNEW something was off about them.
I wish they would have listened to me. Those things grew up to be the most obnoxious, loud, ridiculous animals to EVER call this place home!
Needless to say, they no longer live here.
THE END!
Wow,Noodle, THE END is right! I will be careful to not get too obnoxiously loud around you!!

Lexi, you could NEVER be as loud as those cretins (sp?)!

It is amazing that they survived at all. The Scotties would have gone after them in a heart beat.

I love them! I used to have a bunch and now down to one and it goes to the neighbors and doesn’t come home much. I want more! I think they are the coolest birds but they do make lots of noise but love that they eat ticks.

Were your hens tame? Ours were not, even though we got them as babies and were with them every day.

BOL! We call them Guinea Fowl here in South Africa and they roam around the veld. If you think they are loud and obnoxious, then you clearly have not met a Hadeda (Ibis), now those are RUDE and annoying birds if ever!

We have white Ibis here and they don’t really make any noise.

Ours are a dark grey and they are BIG and very, very noisy. They drive us all crazy because they taunt us by digging for worms in OUR garden and then fly off cackling like witches when we try to catch them!
