Friends…

Remember on Sunday I told you, “Everything is great here! *knocks on wood*”???? Well, we should have knocked harder.

Last night, I started peeing drops of blood and even a blood clot came out.

Dad took me to the vet a little bit ago and LUCKILY it’s not bladder stones like Stella Rose just had (Mom was FREAKING out). It’s just a bad bladder infection. They gave me an antibiotic shot, antibiotic pills to take at home, and some other stuff.

Apparently, being on a grain-free diet can cause urinary crystals. I think that’s just ridiculous. Mom has to buy some supplements for me to prevent this from happening again.

Anywho, I need a blog cleansing. You know, something to make the jinx-inator disappear so I can just have good things to report. A little woo-sah and sage smudging perhaps. Do any of you know someone that can do this for me?

Here’s a pic from last night:

I was trying to sit on Mom’s lap and Macy wouldn’t get off of me. She actually crawled into Mom’s arms above me and laid back like a baby. Then she ended up like the picture. Dad said, “She knows you’re sick, Poodle,” and I said, “Well, I didn’t try to smother her when she was recovering from surgery!”

She knows no boundaries….

  1. Oh boy next time we knock with a sledge hammer on wood, that’s for sure. I hope the meds will do the trick and with the supplements you haven’t to deal again with such infections… hugs to you and POTP and a big fat knock on da wood for good news…

We are so sorry Noodles but so happy it was not stones and surgery like stella. We were also very surprised because we have always fed our pugs really good food, so I don’t know what happened, they are sending her 24 stones away to get processed so we will know what kind of food to keep her on. Hope you get to feeling better real soon. Mags

Two things: #1. Be sure and take pre- and pro-biotics (minimum 35 billion) while you are on anti- biotics. And #2. When Lexi was 12, the vet saw the beginning of a stone in her bladder. She put Lexi on distilled water only, as the minerals in any other water (even purified spring water) would make the stone get bigger.
Sage is supposed to drive away evil spirits, so maybe burn it all around your home, LOL!

You need to make a circle out of kibble and then sit in a medative pose in the middle of it and chant “Omni Omni VOR” (Mom’s very bad aviation humor)

Never knew that about grain free diets! Sorry you had to find out that helpful information the hard way. Sharing it here might help someone else and we all need to knock that wood out to avoid bad luck. Feel better Noodle and eat some yogurt!

  10. Dear Noodle, that sounded horrible, but happy to hear you are soon feeling better. Nice to see Macy, too. She just tried to give POTP to you, Noodle, but she is a big girl.
I keep my paws crossed for you, my friend.
