My Lexi would be so proud of me. Yesterday, I went to work with Mom! I worked a full 10-hour day.
We left the house super early in the morning. It was practically still dark out. Mom works far away – about 45 minutes – and you all know how I get in the car BUT I made it!
Mom works with a bunch of other people doing something called “law”. She is a paralegal. So, I got to be a paralegal, too!
I had a very important meeting with my assistant, Mr. Racky-coon, to start the day off right.
Then I went around to all of the windows in the building because they’re only a foot off the ground and I could see out all of them without having to jump or stand up on my hind legs.
I did lots of running around and didn’t take any morning naps.
At noon, Mom said it was time to go to lunch. Since she works right by Grandpa’s house, she goes there everyday at lunch time to check on him. I was SO excited to see my Grandpa.
Do you see his cat, Charlie, eyeing me suspiciously from on top of the bookcase?
We stayed there for about half an hour and then it was time to go back to work.
After a quick search around the building and visiting with everyone, I had to have an afternoon meeting with Mr. Racky-coon.
See how I had my own desk chair to sit in?!?! Super cool.
Around 3:00 I finally decided it was time to rest. I hadn’t laid down all day long except for the few minutes each time I talked with Mr. Racky-coon. I rested for 15 minutes according to Mom before I was up again to guard the building.
At 6:00, Mom said it was time to go home. FINALLY! Longest day ever! I said very quick goodbyes to everyone because all I could focus on was getting home and eating dinner.
When we got home, I ate dinner, went out, came back in, and flopped myself on the couch. I was so tired that the couch felt uncomfortable so I tried my crate. I laid in there until Mom got me at 9:00 and said, “C’mon, baby boy. Let’s go to bed.” I RAN to the bedroom and slept like a log.
I don’t think work is for me. You don’t get to take naps. I like naps. Naps are my friend.
Can I work from home being a professional napper?
Wow that was some day !!!
I have a full time napping, looking out of the window and scaring the birds off the lawn ~ no way I could fit in all those meetings LOL
Love Big Oscar xx

Oh Noodle…you were very brave to go to a law office (those places can be scary and I know, I worked there for 87 years!). Congrats on getting through it unscathed. I hope those lawyers appreciated all your anti-stress work and treated you well (sometimes ‘legal beagles’ aren’t the nicest). Loved seeing your wagging tail with Grandpa, you must love him very much. 💞 You’re too cute. Get your rest sweet boy, sometimes it takes a while to recover from the law. 😉

The lawyers here are BIG animal lovers and very nice people. I worked really hard keeping the stress levels down. I must’ve given out 87 million kisses. Oh, I love my Grandpa sooooo much. He lets me lick him forever and NEVER yells at me to stop. *ear licks*

You put a great big smile on my face, Noodle. Yes, your Lexi would be VERY proud of you. You must learn to pace yourself. I know working often exhausted Lexi, too, but it was a good kind of tired caused by a job well-done. Maybe you will be the “office dog!” Lucy came with me today and did both her potties in the nursery. I am not bringing her back.

OMD! She did not! Well, maybe she just did it this once. I peed in the conference room twice. Once was a little tiny bit, the next was a big one on the wall. Mom was super disappointed in me and VERY embarrassed because the whole staff saw it. I wonder if Lexi giggled. *ear licks*

Oh Noodle. You may not get to be the office dog now. Now, I am making Lucy wait to be the church dog for a whole year. She has messed every time I have brought her. This was her final chance. I hate to say this, but I think Lexi probably covered her eyes in disappointment. 😦 I still love you. Mom #2

Hi, Mrs. Margret! I have no idea how they do it without me. I mean, there are so many windows to guard and so many people who need kisses to make their stress go away. Mom said she missed me so much the next day. I liked being with her all day. *Ear licks*

Dear Noodle, you are a very special dog, you worked in a law office. We all know dogs working with police and customs, but law office…
You look very cute in these photos, they all love you in that office for sure.
I understand your problem, we all need naps, a lot of naps. You should have a lunch three hour, so you could take care of napping, too.

Dogs (and cats) are needed everywhere. In all careers. There’s always someone that can benefit from petting or seeing us. In exchange though, I should’ve gotten a longer lunch like you said. *Ear licks*
P.S.
Happy spring!

What an exciting day! I don’t know how you have the energy to work all day. Are you going to be representing any dog clients now that you know so much about the law?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I don’t know where that energy came from. I’ve never gone so long without a nap before. I think I’d prefer to just be a shoulder to lean on than actual representation. That stuff is hard work! *Ear licks*

Dogs at work = AWESOMENESS. Understand the tiredness (Bear is exhausted every day he is at work). Guess being social the moral support is lots of tiring work. I’m okay with that. Take all the naps you need to recover.
