Hi, friends! It’s time for another Memory Monday.
2012
When I first moved into my home, I had a very tough time falling asleep and staying asleep. That happens after you’ve been living on the street.
Every night, I would get in bed and then lay down. Stand up. Do 87 million circles. Lay down. Stand up. REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT. I didn’t like sleeping. You could tell it scared me and I wouldn’t fall asleep until exhaustion left me no choice.
Often, I slept on the floor with my back up against the wall. Another sign that my time on the street effected my sleep.
I was also a thumb sucker/chewer. It was very soothing for me to put Mom or Dad’s thumb in my mouth and gnaw on it where I’m missing a molar. When I would do that, it would put me to sleep.
I dug into Mom’s video treasure chest and found this gem of me when I first moved in. I had VERY long hair! (There’s a surprise guest at the end of the video too 😀 )
I’m sure glad I found my Mom and Dad. It’s nice being able to sleep knowing I’m safe now.
Gosh Noodles you must haf been exhausted but the time you finished your 87mil circles!
I is soooo glad you haf the most wonderful home to lives in now, just pawfect
Loves and licky kisses

That’s what would happen. I turned and turned and turned until I feel asleep from exhaustion. I’m glad too! *ear licks*

Hi Noodle Buddy. I know it’s very difficult to break those street survival skills. If anybody wakes me up, I still go straight into attack/defence mode. I guess it is going to take some time! Woof! Ray.

Yes, it will get better. I used to jump out of my skin when someone would wake me but now I roll over and expose my belly – a true sign of trust.

87 million circles makes me dizzy. Glad to know a pup can sleep easy these days.

Will, it used to make me dizzy too! It’s a relief to be able to plop down and fall asleep wherever I please.

Oh Noodle, you look like Goldilocks, “this spot is too hard, this spot is too soft, but this spot is just right.” So glad you found your mom and dad; they are taking such good care of you. ❤

Noodle, honey, you have come a long way from that scared puppy. You are really cute with all the hair, but I could see you were itching. Your Mom is so smart to keep your hair cut short. Thank you for sharing this memory video with me, uh, I mean us. *wiggles* 3
