I have a very diverse family! Let me introduce them to you:
Mom (Samantha) and Dad (Greg): These are my 2 favoritest people in the whole world. Mom helps me write my blogs.
Khia: This is my best friend! She is a 9 year old pit bull/bull mastiff mix. Without her, I would be lost. We do EVERYTHING together, including getting into lots of trouble. **Khia passed away unexpectedly on 4/17/15. She’ll always be my best friend/sister so she’s staying right here on this page.
Macy: The doofiest dumb dumb sister a guy like me could’ve possibly gotten stuck with. She came to us from the shelter on July 29, 2015 at 5 months old. We don’t know what breed she is but she’s extremely vocal and annoying.
Molly: This is my other sister that’s NOT annoying. She came to us from the shelter on October 17, 2015 at approximately 6 years old. From what we can tell, she had an abusive past. Now we are trying to teach her that love heals all!
Mya: This is my cousin. She was a 14 year old miniature long-haired dachshund. You might notice that it looks like her eyes were closed. Well, Mya actually didn’t have any eyes. She used to have eyes but she went blind and then developed something called glaucoma. She was in a lot of pain and the doctors said that since she already couldn’t see, her only option was double enucleation (removal of both eyes). I will write her story one day. *Mya passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2015. She is missed so very much.
Jamison: The devil himself. Age: approximately 10 years old. This is the guy whose goal in life is to torture me every chance he gets. Follow my blog and you will quickly understand. Jamison was found, like me. When Dad moved to Tampa to be near Mom, he had a different black cat named Ozzie. Ozzie moved in with Mom but ran away shortly after. They found Jamison while they were looking for Ozzie. Someone called saying they saw Ozzie. Really it was Jamison. He had been eating out of dumpsters. Mom squatted down to pet Jamison and he curled up in her lap and fell asleep.
Franklin: Despite the name, Franklin is a FEMALE pekin duck. Ducks don’t exhibit male/female traits until they are a few months old. Since Franklin answers to her name, Mom decided to keep it. Sometimes she will call her Frankie Lynn. She is 4 years old.
Gemma (L) & Opal (R): Mini Rex female bunnies that Dad got as babies for his birthday May 2014.
Cheney (L) & Corbin (R): They are brothers that moved in with us in October 2014. We don’t know how old they are. All we know is that the person who had them before us, had them for 1 year after being rescued out of an abandoned house.
Crystal (L) & Jade (R): Female bunnies that Dad rescued shortly after getting Opal & Gemma.
And finally….the chickens!
