Hi, guys! It’s me, Noodle! Mom told me I could have my blog back but she said that I had to tell you a few things first:
- You are the best bunch of people and pets she’s ever met.
- She’s read every comment but can’t respond to them right now.
- She went to work today and it was super busy so she couldn’t lose herself in her thoughts too much.
Okay, now that that’s out of the way….
Today is January 10th which means….it’s my found day – the day Mom found me by Grandpa’s house and gave me my forever home (against her will at that – how rude). 5 years ago, I was a little fluffy scruffy puppy (estimated 6 months old).
I was a MESS!

Now, I’m clean-shaven (okay, not today because I’m overdue for a haircut but let’s not remind Mom). I’m happy, loved, and I have a safe place to sleep at night. Oh! I have you all now, too!
That’s all I’ve got, friends. I’m happy today marks 5 years with my family but it is also the first day without my brother and I just can’t muster any more excitement. I wasn’t going to even post but I had to. It’s just hard to feel cheery. Maybe tomorrow.

Thank you for making the effort to reach out while you are grieving, Noodle, but you really didn’t have to. We’d all understand. Tell your Mom to take as much time as she needs – and not to feel pressured to keep up the every day blogging pace. You too, btw.
My Mom also wants to remind your Mom that those who commented on the last post did so in support, not to force a dialogue that put items on her plate during a time when she needed to take things OFF it so she could focus on healing. You too, btw.
(Mom didn’t even expect a “like” – ’cause she figured reading might even be too much for a while).
Sorry that your special day turned out to be so sad. When everybody is feeling a bit better, maybe you can all celebrate UN-found day (like an un-birthday some Moms do for kids who share birthdays with holidays and stuff).

((Hugs)) belated Happy Gotcha Day, we know you miss Jamison we are so sorry that he didn’t make it. We know he tried his very best to stay with you. But sometimes when you are asleep we bet he will come to visit you. Purrs of comfort and paws of sympathy the pain will ease in time.
