The news of Lexi possibly having the “Big C” upset me so much that last night was a disaster.

First, I took out my sad/scared feelings on Macy and ending up scratching Mom’s thigh because I launched off her lap to try to eat Macy’s face.That landed me in my doghouse.

I was in time out for quite awhile but then I was allowed out and I just needed to be held by my Mom.

I couldn’t sleep, though. I was having bad dreams about my girl. Mom helped me through it:

“Mom? Do you think she’ll be okay???”

Mom: “Yes, baby. I think Lexi will do fine tomorrow during her surgery.”

“Mom, I would like it if we could go to bed, please. I don’t feel so good.”

Mom: “That’s because your sick with worry. C’mon, sweet boy. Let’s go to bed.”

I slept pretty good until 4:47 am. All of a sudden, I woke up feeling really sick. I jumped off the bed and barfied. Mom woke right up and took care of me. Then, she let me out to go potty.

When I came back in, she snuggled me up and we went back to sleep.

The good news is, I can stop worrying for now. Lexi’s Mom just messaged my Mom with the excellent news that Lexi made it through her surgery and was just waking up.

I hope she was dreaming of our next adventure. I have something big I’m planning.

    Mrs. Lexi’s Mom here, Noodle. Sweetie (as Lexi would say), we didn’t mean for you to make yourself sick with worry. You know Lexi wouldn’t want that, at least not unless she was there to clean it up for you. 🙂 Be a good boy and rest well tonight knowing your girl will be home with her mommy and eating yummy homemade soft food. We will let you know when we get the pathology report back, and we believe all will be well. How could it not be with so many prayers? Love to you from both Lexi and me.

    Poor sweet boy… Thanks for letting us know that Lexi is waking up and doing well after her surgery. One hurdle – finished. Mom and I said prayers, so we are sure that she will be fine.

      It just came out of nowhere! Emotions are running whackadoodle right now with all of the losses in our community and it just blindsided me. Thanks to all of our friends, I think the outcome will be good. We’ve had time to pray really hard for her.

    It is so scary when a dear friend is sick. We hope that you are feeling better today. It was very nice of you to jump off of the bed when you have to barf. Shelby usually kills one of the pillows on the bed. Sid usually wakes me up by jumping off before she barfs. If I could teach her to do that, it would be wonderful.

    Noodle I hope your 7 stomachs are back to normal soon. I bet it was a good feeling to hear that the surgery went well and Lexi is back… we should cross all paws and fingers for good news when Lexi’s vet has the results from the lab… let’s do it ok? ready…set…go!… aaaand paws crossed..
