I made a bonehead move last night….literally.

I stole a whole drumstick chicken bone and a half of a bone off of the dining room table last night.

I fully blame Mom though. She left them where I could smell them and I just had to have them. (She thought she had already thrown them out and she’s furious with herself.)

Right after it happened Mom looked up what to do because she thinks I ate the first one WHOLE. She was losing her mind. The internet told her to cushion my insides by giving me bread. Bones and bread?! Win-win!

But now, every time I go outside, I’m being followed by poop spies (Mom and Dad). They claim they have to check to see if the bones pass and/or if there’s any blood in there. Personally, I think they’re weird privacy invaders with a poop obsession.

On another note, I’m 2/3 of the way to becoming chicken noodle soup. Get it?

Oh Noodle – I picked up a chicken bone once when out on a walk, and you should have seen the panic! Apparently cooked chicken bones splinter very easily so can do a lot of damage. Anyway, they too watched my poop and were obviously delighted when the complete bone appeared, but it took a while to work through my system. Woof! Ray.

We cushion our dogs with bread anytime they eat something hard that could hurt…Raiden ate the plastic cap off a bottle a few weeks back so most his meals that day were bread – he thought it was the best thing ever *rolls eyes*

When we adopted Kasper we lived with him near a city centre in a rough area for almost half a year, littered takeaway wrappers were everywhere. Kasper ate three chicken bones before we could stop him (all on separate occasions) and he never had any problems…we didn’t even know about the bread then.

Hopefully you’ll pass it no problem, enjoy the bread while you can 😉

Caught the chicken Noodle soup joke. Very good 🙂
I’ve been a poop spy too, trust me your mom and dad will be glad when they can give you your potty privacy back.

    Take care, cuddles and hugs.

Hi Noodle Buddy… I just had a thought! Given your height, and the height of a dining room table, how on earth did you get the chicken? Did you jump up onto the table? If I did that, I have no idea what would happen to me but I bet I wouldn’t like it! Woof! Ray.

  5. Great on the quick action on unattended food (bones), Noodle, honey. Was that a vertical leap? Yep, the peeps never feed us those yummy bones, so we have to steal them fast when we can and worry about the consequences later. Here’s to happy digesting, sweetie. Hope everything “comes out” ok. 🙂

  10. Mom always says if there’s a chicken bone in a 10 mile radius of my house, I will find it. I can only hope…. When she was little, her dog, Major died from a chicken bone, so that explains her chicken-bone-phobia. I feel your mom’s worry. Chicken bones are delicious. Oops! I mean scary and dangerous….

  16. Our Miss Charisma stole a sharp steak bone once. We worried she would die from it, but it just came out as white poop! We have also seen our German friend Casper chow down on raw chicken necks, bones and all. Go figure! Our humans would rather we didn’t eat bones just to be on the safe side.

Oh my goodness, Noodle, that’s scary! The dog my family had before me ate a bone and ended up with bloody diahrrea and a 3-day vet stay, so it’s smart of your family to be poop spies. I hope you pass that nasty ol’ bone with no problems!
