The girls in this house are disasters. Even Mom.
It all started on Friday when Mom went to grab the doggy gate off the top of Macy’s cage. What she didn’t do was move the clear pyrex casserole dish (Molly’s dish – another story) that was on top of it…because she couldn’t see it. It landed smack on top of her bare foot. She was in so much pain that the she couldn’t even use the super colorful language that I’m too young to use. When she tried to walk, she died 10 deaths. She thought it was fractured. Well, 30 minutes later, after some ice and elevation, she was able to walk. Just a bruise! (So dramatical…)
Then we move on to Sunday. Macy and Molly were playing on Mom and Dad’s bed. Mom’s not sure if Macy or Jamison was the culprit but Molly got a cut on her nose that was bleeding. See it under her nostril?
Mom cleaned it up and got it to stop bleeding after about 10 minutes.
Two girls down, one to go!
Sunday afternoon: Macy, Molly, and I are all playing outside having a good time. We were running around, sunning, doing back wiggles, it was great! We stayed out for about an hour. Mom called us in and we all ran in and got drinks.
After a few minutes, Mom saw what looked like 4 perfectly placed bumps on Macy’s face. Then she realized they were growing! Macy got bit by fire ants. Clearly, she’s allergic because all of the bumps puffed up quite large.
Mom quickly gave her a Benadryl just in case. They didn’t seem to itch her, though. We all snuggled in for a nap but Mom stared at Macy for a long while first. When we woke up, the swelling had gone down.
So, how’s that for disastrous ladies of the house?
Ouch ……….. fire ants. Those guys have a REALLY bad attitude! Woof! Ray.

Are you sure that we are not related??? Our mom has two wounds from yesterday. One on her shin from walking into a paper shredder and one on her arm from the x-pen. We don’t get out of her way and she barely touched her forearm to the x-pen and there was blood and skin all over the place.

They have had a great time licking my shin. I had to cover my arm or I would have a hole in it. We hope that everyone in your house is on the mend.

We think we’re going to send our mom to go live with you. She trips over her own feet, falls UP stairs and battles to walk through doorways without bumping herself. We think she’ll fit right in. Don’t worry, we’ll send you care instructions and a packet of food to get you started *BOL*
We hope your mom, Macy and Molly are all feeling better.

Noodle, my dear. Not to be insensitive, but I am so glad it wasn’t YOU getting hurt! I do know fire ants should be banned from the universe. When I was one year old I went with Mom and a realtor to look at a house. I ran into the back yard and right into a fire ant mound. Mom and the realtor had to pick them out of my long face and leg hair with their bare hands and got all bit up, same as me. No one swore, but I did cry. (I had forgotten all about that until you mentioned fire ants.) Send your Dad out back to put down fire ant powder! *nose nudges*

That’s just awful! You must’ve been so scared. Dad puts down powder but they just pop up somewhere else. They SHOULD be banned!
PS I’m glad I didn’t get hurt either!

I will ask mom for the name of the super duper fire ant stuff she used to drive them clean out of our great big front yard. Oh, she said Dad has the truck, so it will be tomorrow. It is in the tool box of the truck, don’t ask me why.
