This is my serious face.
I think my parents have lost their minds. More specifically, my Dad. I heard Mom muttering under her breath, “Someone forgot the saying, ‘happy wife, happy life’ “. What could make my Mom say that?
I present to you……………..
MORE BIRDS! He brought home more birds!!! And these ones aren’t even nice!!!!
I introduce to you, Conrad (L) and Paco (R), Green Cheeked Conures. They were given to us by the daughter of a friend who could no longer keep them. (If you’ll remember, we used to have a crested Pekin Duck named Conrad!)
Conrad will let you pet his head a little bit but Paco is evil. They are also constantly making weird noises.
However, there is one good thing about them: they throw their food everywhere! Okay…maybe not so good for Mom but I’m loving it!
Dad is trying to kill mom by means of stress. True story.
(Sidenote: I take Mom’s side because she’s the better snuggler, she gets me my flea/heartworm medicine, she babies me, and she helps me with my blog.)

OMC Birds!!! They be soooo messy. Mommy had a few gwoin’ up and she sez da fing she most members is da mess they made.

Oh Noodle, Ma brought home two burdies some months ago too!!!! Didn’t even ask ME! Butts I agree with you…(when I’m allowed near their cage) they leave tasty seeds all overs the floor! SCORE! Ours are noisy too…butts so am I, so I guess I can’t complain! BOL

We have two American Budgies! An Albino and a green/yellow mix! Ma has been experimenting giving them those pellets too! sometimes they eat them…she’s still undecided… butts your right..they do smell fruity! BOL

The only way to transfer them over to fruit loops..i mean, pellets, is to add more and more to the seed until the seed is no more. Eventually, they’ll eat the pellets because everything eats once it gets hungry enough! Heads up though, their poop may be reddish/orange but not to worry. It’s not blood! *ear licks* Noodle

Not really. The cockatiels whistle silly stuff. Sometimes, they go crazy and then I know to look out the window because someone’s pulling in the driveway. They’re like an alarm system! *ear licks* Noodle

My mom jumped with joy as she saw your berds :o) her greatest wish is to have a parrot… but we haven’t the purrfect home for such a squawking eagle, so we better watch them in tv :o)

Beautiful Noodle! i used to have love birds and budgerigars..and a s achild i had a pet galah and a pet cockatoo..smart and talkative ..the cocky used to have conversations with me..he was better to be around than my sister hahahaha loves Fozziemum xxx

I didn’t know what a galah was so Mom looked it up and you know what? Growing up, she used to see a galah at the pet store ALL the time. Here they just call them Rose-Breasted Cockatoos. It was her favorite because it was pink! That’s silly about your cockatiel! BOL! *ear licks* Noodle

Our dogs love Twoli, the Cockatiel. He enjoys pushing food through the bars of the cage onto the carpet, then watches as our pups rush over and gobble it up *sigh* 😉

Oh boy, birds are soo much work! I researched having a conure then decided against it. If they can’t go to work with me and be socialized with all day then I decided it just wasn’t for me. Plus they live forever!
