Hi Friends!!!
It’s been forever since I wrote to you. Sorry about that. Things have been crazy here and any quiet time where Macy is being still is sleep time for me and relaxation time for Mom.
I guess I’ll do a quick update of everything.
On Thursday, Franklin, our pekin duck, stopped walking. After a few hours of research, it seems that it could be due to a Niacin deficiency. Mom’s not sure how this happened because Franklin eats duck feed that has all the important nutrients in it PLUS she free ranges and eats all types of bugs and worms. So Franklin has been staying on the back porch being catered to all day and being given niacin/critical care supplements.
She seems to be getting some strength back. From what Mom read, it takes a few days of being on the supplement before they are able to walk again. I don’t want to tell you what Mom and Dad were discussing if this doesn’t work. 
(No, they aren’t planning on eating her! That’s terrible!)
On Friday, Macy got her 2nd set of shots from the new vet who just so happens to be a mobile vet. Dad’s Grandson was still here and he was amazed that a vet came to the house.

The vet will be back on September 4th to give Macy her 2nd leptospirosis shot and to see me for the 1st time for a pre-dental exam.
After the vet left (over an hour later!), Macy and I heard a car. I mean, clearly Macy hears EVERYTHING with those gigantic antennae on her head.
Who could that be?!?!
Best surprise ever – GRANDPA CAME TO VISIT!

It was his 1st time meeting Macy and as you can see, she made herself right at home on his lap.
There was so much commotion on Friday that when Grandpa left and Macy finally got quiet, I fell asleep in the warm sunshine.
Saturday was the best! I got to go to the flea market and see all of my people friends!!!

Sunday was Macy’s turn to go to the flea market. Mom is not liking having to go twice but she wants to be fair and she says that both of us are 2 crazy to take at the same time.
So that’s about it. I’ll try to be better about blogging and visiting all of your blogs. Promise!

that were a lot of good things Noodle… except the fact that your Franklin is not well. I hope the special supplement helps that he can waddle around soon…. :o)

Hi Noodle Honey. You must be exhausted! I am glad you look like you are happier and getting along better with Macy, though. That table is a great perch for looking out the window. Your Mom sure is smart to figure out what is wrong with Franklin and give him what he needs to get better. POTP for Franklin. ❤

My goodness, N. Your house IS busy! Macy’s ears are ridiculous. Best wishes for the duck to get his legs under him again. Thanks for clarifying that he would not be dinner whatever the outcome. Whew!

Hi everyone! Yes, it’s difficult because Mom does everything on her cell phone EXCEPT blog entries. So, unless she has spare time at work during lunch, she needs to do it at home and she prefers sitting on the couch instead of at the computer desk 🙂 Happy thoughts to all of you! *ear licks*

I know its a struggle when someone new is introduced. It took forever to get used to Shoko….she chatters like all the time and is always busy. Eventually, I could tune her out just fine and as long as she’s not busy picking on me, I feel life is golden.
I feel bad about your duck….I never thought a lack of niacin could do this! Hope he get better real soon. Is his name Pekin?

Hi Kali! Macy is CONSTANTLY barking/talking/howling. It is ridiculous! I thank you for the hope that I may one day be able to tune her out. Our duck’s name is Franklin but it is a girl. You can’t really tell the sex of a duck until they’re a few months old and we got her at 2 days old. So Mom made an oops 😛 I will send your kind words onto her. *ear licks*

There is hope at the end of the tunnel Noodle. She will calm down and not talk as much. It’s a gradual process. All of a sudden it will be pleasant around her. Oh happy day!
You can let Miss Franklin know that the Power of the Paw is with her throughout this ordeal. We will be purring for her.

Franklin told me to tell you ‘thank you’. She’s very excited because she never got AireZens before 🙂 Yes, the vet came right into our driveway! AND it was only $10 more than a normal vet visit. I will try to keep reminding myself that Macy idolized me. In the meantime, I’ll have a special Ruby Margarita please! *ear licks*

It has been so *HOT* here an mee could onlee go out after 4 pee emm. Yesturday LadyMum sat outwith mee butt shee could not breethe an had an Assma attack!!! With thee Hue-mid-ex it was 98.6 F an it was scary to see LadyMum gaspin fur air!
Fankfully it rained overnite an it is rainin now an coolin fingss down….Mee iss a good Purr-amedic butt holdin thee Innhaler iss hard to do!!

Ducks are cool. I especially like their food and poop BOL. I’m so happy I got to visit my friends at the flea market. I agree about her getting big. Mom thinks she had a major growth spurt this week. It’s been super hot here too. I think our temps are roughly the same and as mom says, the humidity sucks your soul right out. I’m so glad LadyMum is okay. Thank goodness you were there for her! We hope Franklin is feeling better. Look Noodle, we’re not going to lie…we may have got the plum sauce out when we read that he was feeling under the weather butt we honestly are keeping our paws crossed that he makes a full recovery.
