Hello all of my friends! I am sorry that I have been MIA but my parents did the most awful thing….

THEY BROUGHT HOME A PUPPY! A stinkin’ puppy!!! An irritating, rude, gangly, hyper, Mom and Dad stealing PUPPY!

Just look!

wpid-img_20150729_153057.jpg

wpid-img_20150729_153311.jpg

When Mom pulled in the driveway, she came in the house and put my harness and leash on. We walked down the driveway to the street where Dad was waiting with the mongrel.

wpid-img_20150730_165425.jpg

At this point things were actually going okay (because I didn’t know she was going to be staying). We walked up and down the street 4 times before Mom and Dad brought us both, still leashed, into the yard. We showed her the duck, chickens, and bunnies.

wpid-img_20150729_160241.jpg

Then Mom and Dad invited her into the house. Wait, what???

Jamison came right out to investigate. He had a “pipe cleaner tail” (all puffed out).

wpid-photogrid_1438214813016.jpg

Would you believe that traitorous cat didn’t try to kill her? Turns out he likes her. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!

wpid-img_20150729_170908.jpg

Puppy: “Don’t worry new brother. I will protect you from that cat.”

She followed me (and is STILL following) me EVERYWHERE! Can’t a guy get some peace and quiet? How about some privacy? Mom and Dad have a large kennel for her where they put her throughout the day to give me a break.

I’ve tried my hardest to scare her off. Snarling, growling, barking, baring ALL of my teeth, even snapping at her, and you know what? SHE THINKS I’M PLAYING WITH HER! C’MON!

On top of everything, she keeps kissing MY Mom and Dad!

wpid-photogrid_1438214740979.jpg

For cryin’ out loud! You’re gonna harass me AND steal my Mom and Dad?! Something MUST be done about this…

Look at her…trying to look all innocent and cutesy:

wpid-photogrid_1438214892045.jpg

NEGATIVE Miss Puppy! I, Noodle the Schnoodle, am the cutest of all things cute in the world. You may have large, silly ears but I have the “little chocolate eyeballs” that MY Mom loves more than anything!

wpid-img_20150729_161832.jpg

                                                           “I’m onto you, Puppy!”

That crazy nut bag didn’t even take a nap until she had been here for over 5 hours!

wpid-photogrid_1438214606390.jpg

Just ridiculous!

Lexi, honey, please talk to your mother about me moving in with you guys, okay? I’ve already tried packing my favorite toy, Mr. Racoon, and leaving to go to my Grandma or my Grandpa’s but I don’t know how to get to their houses. Maybe you and your mom can come get me?

If you guys don’t hear from me it’s because I am hiding in my man cave and the laptop is in the house.

A note from Noodle’s Mom:

Hello, everyone! The last 24 hours have been…interesting! When we got to the shelter to pick up the dog, we were informed that they thought she was 5 months old. Ummm, yeah…we weren’t expecting that! We knew she was young but we thought she was closer to a year old. Too late! I had already signed her adoption papers when they told me. We were told she was American Bully/Staffordshire Terrier but, honestly, she looks like she has Great Dane in her. She is 5 months old, 32 lbs, and has gigantic paws.

So far she has destroyed toilet paper (we didn’t know if we needed to hide it and there was only one way to find out), found my shoes (I saved them in time), and tried eating the baseboards multiple times. 3 reasons of many which I did NOT want a puppy. The good news is, she seems to be housebroken. Thank God!

We know it’s going to take time for Noodle to get used to her. He is our primary concern. We have been careful to pay equal attention to both of them and to avoid scolding him for his bad behavior but rather are rewarding him for his good behavior. We’ve also been giving him alone time with each of us, and alone time outside in the yard. They are eating separately, each locked in their own kennels. Noodle is known to be food aggressive and we want any extra issues between him and her.

Wish us luck!!!!

Oh and by the way…her name is….

MACY!!!

You know Noodle, I understand how you feel, but I’ll let you in on a secret, Mom and Dad still love your kisses and your beautiful little chocolate eye balls, Macy joining your family isn’t going to change any of that.

She following you around huh, well I can understand that you are a born leader and you know the lay of the land so of course she is looking up to you to be her guide.

Tell Mom that Grannick’s bitter apple spray works wonders to keep puppies from chewing what they shouldn’t. Our Bess pup thinks the wood baseboard tastes wonderful…but not anymore but she sure glared at me when she tasted the bitter apple taste on the wood. It doesn’t take very much to work.

Take care and give that new sister of yours a chance, you just might find out that you like her. Giving you a love and cuddle. Tell Mom to do the same for Macy from me. By the way did you notice you both have some of the same spots, that’s pretty awesome!

Love you big guy, trust me it’s going to be fine if you don’t believe me you can ask Bonnie and Belle. They thought we were crazy when we brought Bess pup into our lives and they made sure we knew about it. But it didn’t take too long and all was fine.

    • Miss Margret, you think I’m a born leader?? Wow! *blush* I think I’ve treated that apple stuff before. YUCK! I will remind mom to get some when she does shopping. Thanks for the reminder! I wonder if she has a billion spots under her fur like I do. Miss Margret, you give good cuddles. Thanks for always lighting my spirits! *ear licks* Noodle

Welcome Macy! The two of you can play connect the dots with each other. It could be a bonding activity. Sidney and Shelby feel your pain. After 9 months they are still getting used to Sophie. She is obnoxious to say the least. Good luck and have patience.

  4. NOOOOO! My poor, poor sweetheart. They do these things to torture us. You must be strong, even though this Macy has already stolen some of your beautiful spots and put them on her head. I know my Mom can drive that far, she just did the 10 1/2 drive to PA and the same back. Send me your address and she will put it in her phone and find you. Can you wait out by the road for us?

Wait a minute…an ally against Jamison. Hmmm. And now that it is no longer your full responsibility to make your mom and dad happy after all your terrible losses, you can find time to do other things, like bring me more bacon roses. You know I love you, handsome boy! ❤

P.S. Mom said to tell you that Macy is really a gift for you from your folks. Like a new toy that plays.

    • Oh, Lexi… With your support I know I’ll make it through anything. OMD! She DID steal some of my spots! I’m looking all over my body but can’t see where there missing from!!! I guess maybe we could go on a day trip now that Mom and Dad will be busy with the puppy.
      P.S.
Tell your Mom my parents need a lesson in picking out gifts. A slice of cheese would’ve made me happier!

You’ve handled yourself very well so far, N. This will take some getting used to, but your parents are looking out for you, so I think you’ll be OK – no thanks to Jamison, the traitor. Hang in there, buddy. Macy looks like she could be pretty fun, eventually…

  7. This note is from Lexi’s mom. I am so happy for you! I think you got the perfect pup for all of you. Yes she does look like she has harlequin Great Dane in her. That would explain the coloring and the ears and the long face. Lots of fun and trials (puppy) ahead.
I just know the Noodle will come around and be love Macy too.

We know how difficult it is to have a newbie in the house. I (Duffy) went through this 2 TIMES!!!! First with Elsa coming when I was already King of the house. And then a year later Andy joined us. It is very hard to share the Peeps love and attention, Soon you’ll be playing and running around like nothin’. Good luck and know for sure your Mom and Dad love you.

  16. WOW! Macy’s HOME! Well Noodle, a lot of adjustments will need to be made for sure but I think you and Macy will be pals before you know it. Sounds like your Mom and Dad are making sure you feel safe and secure and once Macy gets used to the routine and new surroundings I bet you will find she’s looking to YOU as “top dog” around there to show her what she needs to know! I love her ears……I think you best be prepared for her to be HUGE one day but right now, she’s close to your size and wanting to be friends with you…….it’s nice to have someone to hang with!

    Hugs, Sammy

Hey Buddy! Listen REALLY carefully. You MUST be friends with this one. Those ears look like Great Dane ears which means that you could have a ginormous friend who will eat you all out of the home! You MUST make friends, and you might want to suggest that your Mom and Dad go on a financial austerity program because their food bills could be going up considerably. 🙂 Woof! Ray.

    • Hi Ray. They came to this realization as well and Mom is doing something she calls, “kicking herself in the butt”. Please pray for all of us that Macy’s looks are deceiving and that she’s not a Great Dane.

  20. You can come live with me. We’ll get along fine. You just stay in your place, and I’ll stay in mine. I can’t abide my pal Noodle having to share the peeps. What were they thinking?

Well, to be honest, let’s think about this. If Macy was in the shelter, something bad was probably going to happen to her. And her breed may have made her scary to some people. So, maybe, we need to reevaluate this my friend.

But you can still come live with me until you get used to the idea.

    Oh me.

  21. Macy, your new sister, is a good lookin’ dog….not as good lookin’ as you Noodle, but for a dog, dang good to look at. She will be acting weird for awhile cause she is a pup. They are like kittens….a real pain….they do dumb things then think its funny! Just play along, its easier. Macy is going to be huge so best be nice to her. She will protect you against all kinds of bullies. It will be challenging getting to know her.
Shoko brought all sorts of bad habits with her from the shelter and she was only 3 weeks!
    Chin up Noodle.

    Kitty kisses,

Macy is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! My first thought was Grate Dane mix when I saw her, what a beautiful face! And her nose looks like a heart, and it looks like she sat in a brindle mud puddle. I love her!!
Noodle – don’t worry buddy, it’ll be ok. Your mama and papa still love you! ❤

  23. Noodle – Give Macy a chance. Surely you would agree that all dogs deserve to be loved. Your mom and dad have tons and tons of love – plenty for you, Jamison, and Macy. I know it will be hard for you, but just give it a chance.

Miss Samantha – Congratulations! How incredibly wonderful for you guys! You are doing all the right things. Listen to yourself and your instinct. You know what is best for your dogs. And, in my experience, it might take a few weeks for everyone to figure out their place in the new hierarchy, but it will eventually get sorted out. Sending love and puppy power to you. May the force be with you as you deal with a new puppy.

Here’s mom: Thank you so much! It wasn’t until age was already here that I read online that this was perfectly normal behavior. I read a lot about how to introduce them but none of those articles ever mentioned what would happen after the novelty wore off. As usual, everyone on here has reassured me that they’ll get past this. P.S extra force needed. It’s been 14 years since I dealt with a puppy!

Congrats to everyone. Noodle, you are the cutest, that will never change (says Maya)–but be glad that cute Macy is so young, at that age she’ll quickly understand that you are the boss. You’ll have a few kerfuffles, but she’ll be great to run around with, chase and be chased. And when she’s grown, you can ride on her.

You may have to put your foot down a bit, Noodle. As long as your mum and dad watch as umpires…. poor girl will have to learn how to behave with other dogs. Give her time, Noodle, she’s just arrived. When I came home, I was scared, and happy, and crazy, and more scared. Your mum and dad probably take her to puppy class after a while, where she’ll learn. She’s lucky to have you.
        Love, Maia.
