Yesterday I showed you how I used to have a difficult time getting comfortable.

That’s a thing of the past (mostly) and now I like to build fake nests. What is a fake nest you ask?

This is a fake nest as it’s being built:

See? Nothing actual “builds” my nest but I work VERY hard on it. Typically I do it on the surface I’m sitting on but during that particular clip, I needed materials from the side as I had already gathered bottom materials before Mom started filming. Shortly after Mom stopped filming, I curled up in my newly constructed nest and went to sleep.

I will mush around an actual blanket if one is there but sometimes you must improvise!

Am I the only one who does this?

    Your nest making reminded me of a dog I grew up with. Queenie was a rat terrier and she loved to make nests to snuggle into. You have awesome nest building abilities Noodle! Enjoy!

    Noodle I “nest” too……..I work and work and work to get things JUST RIGHT before I curl up and take a snoozie. You did a grand job !

    I have a sleeping bag in my cage I move around to be sure I fit in it as a pawfect snuggle

    Then you just have to sit on an egg and eventually a puppy will hatch. I think that’s how it works…

    I also build non-nests for sleeping. I work and work and accomplish nothing. Then I curl up and act like I’ve built the best nest on earth. Are we nuts??

    I move around a lot. Maybe it would help if I nested. Riley nests, but not as energetically as you do. ❤

      I’m very dramatic according to my mom. As a matter of fact, I’m currently pretending to be sick.

        I pretended to be sick years ago just as Mommy and Daddy were getting ready to leave for their flight to France over Thanksgiving. Mommy said, “I won’t leave her if she’s sick.” (I knew this!) Daddy sighed with resignation. I figured I had pretended long enough that they missed their flight, but I was the one who missed – miscalculated, that is. I went to the sitters and had the time of my life, but that is another Memory.
        Oh, I do hope you are only pretending. What do you want to get or happen from the play-acting?

    Mee used to watch Jade doggie an shee wood build nestss an mee leerned frum her!
    Mee finks mee should pop over an wee have a nap together in yur cozy nest!!!!
    Pleeze come visit tomorrow (Fursday) because mee iss havin a pawty fur mee 1st birthday…iss gonna bee fun!!!

    Mew mew mew Noodle it was grate to have you at mee pawty!! An thee birthday card is furabuluss!!!! An LadyMum knows shee could time thee post butt shee got all xcited like a littul kitt an could not sleep, mew mew mew….
    Shee went to bed at 1:30 A.M. an was up at 6 to give mee brekkie…Mee got her up at 9 A.M. so mee could pawty….3 hourss an 15 minutess left…mee mite end up inn bed sooner….mee iss xhausted!!!!! An happy 🙂

    It’s important to have the pawfect lumps. Dogs used to do this millions of years ago in caves, but I can see you’re perfecting the art of the nest, Noodle. Everyone needs a warm, cozy den in which to relax. 😉
