Hi, friends! It’s time for another Memory Monday.

2012

When I first moved into my home, I had a very tough time falling asleep and staying asleep. That happens after you’ve been living on the street.

Every night, I would get in bed and then lay down. Stand up. Do 87 million circles. Lay down. Stand up. REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT. I didn’t like sleeping. You could tell it scared me and I wouldn’t fall asleep until exhaustion left me no choice.

Often, I slept on the floor with my back up against the wall. Another sign that my time on the street effected my sleep.

I was also a thumb sucker/chewer. It was very soothing for me to put Mom or Dad’s thumb in my mouth and gnaw on it where I’m missing a molar. When I would do that, it would put me to sleep.

I dug into Mom’s video treasure chest and found this gem of me when I first moved in. I had VERY long hair! (There’s a surprise guest at the end of the video too 😀 )

I’m sure glad I found my Mom and Dad. It’s nice being able to sleep knowing I’m safe now.

About noodle4president

I was a discarded, lost little stray without a house or a family...until my mom found me. Now, I am the happiest, most loved dog in the whole world!

Hi Noodle Buddy. I know it’s very difficult to break those street survival skills. If anybody wakes me up, I still go straight into attack/defence mode. I guess it is going to take some time! Woof! Ray.

  9. Noodle, honey, you have come a long way from that scared puppy. You are really cute with all the hair, but I could see you were itching. Your Mom is so smart to keep your hair cut short. Thank you for sharing this memory video with me, uh, I mean us. *wiggles* 3
