*Sigh*
Sunday night…I’m not a fan. The only thing worse than Sunday night is Monday morning when Mom leaves for work. I already have the sad puppy eyes going.
We I didn’t go anywhere this weekend. Mom and Dad went to the beach on Friday without me. Mom claims dogs aren’t allowed at that beach and the beach where dogs ARE allowed is very far away. Saturday Dad was at the flea market. Today, Mom laid out in the sun. It was SO hot (92°F) that I didn’t even stay outside with her. Boring boring boring.
Well, except the bird situation. That’s still pretty exciting. Mom worked really hard to get video for you guys. It wasn’t nearly as easy as she hoped it was going to be but she didn’t give up until she got a good one.
They are SO noisy!!! Their squeaky chirps make my head tilt.
Mama and Papa bird have been bringing in all kinds of things for them to eat: caterpillars, baby lizards, baby frogs, and bugs. They look like they’re getting tired. My Mom gets tired watching them.
OH! OH! OH! I almost forgot to tell youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
We have 2 kittens living on our property! Not little, teeny, tiny, baby kittens but maybe like teenager kittens. Mom and Dad knew there was a black cat on the property but they didn’t know until yesterday that it’s TWO black cats. Dad started putting food out for them yesterday. I chased one real good! Mom told me I was a bully and that doing that makes me no better than Jamison. Ouch, Mom, real ouch!
Maybe one day they will let us get close enough to take a picture but right now they are TERRIFIED of us (me especially…oops)!
Well, I’m off for last minute weekend snuggles with Mom. I hope everyone had a great weekend and got to go on adventures unlike me. *HINT HINT, MOM*
Hi Noodle buddy. Sorry to hear about your cats but guess what? I treed one the other day. It didn’t see me coming and peed itself all the way up our tree! Dad’s going to do a Post on it soon. I wonder if it will come back so I can scare it again? He! He! Woof! Ray.

Whoa! I don’t think this one peed but it sure did run really fast!

Wow, Noodle, you are starting to sound like me. Except I would be running from the cats and trying to eat the birds. It does suck when you get left behind, though. I wish I felt better and could come visit you!

You don’t feel good? Why? Is it because you were abandoned? Our do you have a tummy ache?

Bummer about missing the beach day, N. The great thing about weekends is that they come back every week. Better luck next time!

We enjoyed the video of the baby birdies. We’ve never seen this type of birdie around here.
Hope you get to go along on the next beach trip!

They’re tiny things. Even as adults! I’ve never been to a beach so I’m not sure if I’m even missing anything but I need to find out.

You make your boring weekend sound interesting, Noodle. We had a youg cat trying to live with us too but mom and dad took him into the SPCA yesterday to find a forever home. He sure was a happy guy so I hope he finds a forever home very soon.

Jamison will not allow another cat to live with us. That’s why we only have one. The kittens are VERY afraid and would be put down if we took them to the SPCA. Feral cats have a 24 hour hold and that’s it 😥

You are the wiser for knowing what Jamison is like. I don’t think I would stand for another cat here either. Kali got used to me but what a time getting she had accepting me. I don’t know why. I was cute and sorta happy and suspicious of everyone. I think Kali would have been quite happy on her own.

Baby birds and 2 kitties, you have a lot of company hanging out at your house! I’m sorry you couldn’t go to the beach but I bet snuggles with mom help to make up for it.

Yeah, it’s like they know Mom and Dad will love and protect them! I won’t admit it to Mom but the snuggles did make up for it 🙂

Crikey Noodle ….. that video was great. At least you’ll have the birdies for company when your Mom goes to work. Those squeaky chirps make my head tilt too. What’s with that??

It goes right into our brains and turns em to jelly I think! Noisy company is better than no company I suppose 😛

Oh how wonderful! Your mom made a super video. It’s not easy to see this little birds so close :o) BRAVO! We have the same beach problem, dogs aren’t allowed on the beach from may till september :o(

Mom had to climb on a step-stool to get close enough. Luckily, Mama and Papa bird do not attach like blue jays do. Otherwise my Mom would have been attacked quite a bit for the stunts she pulled trying to get pictures and video.

Little chirpie birdies!!! Soon they’ll be old enough to learn to fly…….as for the two little teenaged kitties, how sweet that your Dad is feeding them….they must need help and came to you all for a hand. Bless you for helping two of “my kind” !!
Hugs, Sammy

Mom and Dad are taking care of them. I don’t think chasing them constitutes taking care of them very well. I will try harder from now on so I can make you proud. *ear licks*

Your weekend was way better than mine, I had to take my peeps on a looong walk in the rain, then Gelfling Grandson came round and hogged all the toy cars to himself !!!! Still Mrs P has a couple of days off in the week so I can get her organised in to my way of thinking.
Don’t tell Mrs P but I can sure make Neurotic Cat sprint like an athlete when she’s getting on my nerves 😀 (Neurotic Cat …not Mrs P )

We had big storms in the evenings this weekend. One night, the storms were so bad that I might have had an accident for the 1st time ever in the house. Toy cars? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen those before.

Are you sure you had an ‘accident’ and it wasn’t the roof leaking ??
As for the toy cars I’m only allowed to look at them, well apart from the ones Gelfling has left in the garden …they are mine * evil laugh*

Your Sunday was more exciting than our Sunday. We lost power for almost 5 hours. It started in the middle of the day. It is the hottest at that time. The temperature was hovering over 90. We did not get power until 7:35 in the evening. It was HOT!

Tell your mum good luck with the kitties! We’ve tamed, rescued, and spay/neutered many a stray cat in our time. 🙂 Maybe she can gain their trust and have them spay/neutered or find them a good home! ❤ ❤

Please tell your mom thank you for the video, Noodle! Watching a nest like that would keep me occupied all day!! You’re SO lucky.

Jamison has been staring out the window non-stop! I think that nest restored some of the “street cat” in his blood.
