Jamison and an Adventure to De-Funk

As tough as it is, life goes on. The hardest part is making sure that you move forward and don’t waste the precious life you are still capable of living after someone you love has lost that same ability.

Although initially depressed, I do believe that Jamison is rapidly returning to normal.

This guy has been trying to get me to play like his life depends on it. Doesn’t he realize that I can’t just trust him all of a sudden? After all the years of torture he thinks we’re just supposed to be BFFs?

Mom tells me that it’s just me and him and I should learn to trust him. She says that life will be a lot easier if he and I got along. She doesn’t like worrying about me while she’s at work. She thinks he tortures me without Khia here to protect me.

One day at a time, I say…

Anywho, yesterday was my first day where I was acting like myself. You know why? My Grandpa came to visit me. I was SO very happy to see him. I was so happy that when I was outside and the neighbor drove by on his riding mower, I decided to act like a mad man and got myself so worked up that I had a small seizure. It was SO scary. I lost all control of my legs and my head was going side to side. First I was wobbly and then my little legs just fell right out from underneath me.

I haven’t been drinking enough water and Florida is getting very hot this time of year. After calming down, re-hydrating and cooling off, I was much better and everything is a-okay! I bet you can imagine what that did to Mom and Dad, though. I honestly didn’t mean to scare them like that.

As you can imagine, Mom was skeptical about taking me on an adventure today. She made me drink lots of water before we left and she packed a bottle of water for me for while we were out.

We got in the car and she told me we were going to the flea market! At first, all I heard was “flea” but then it clicked! I LOVE THE FLEA MARKET! Everyone tells me how cute I am and they all want to pet me.

I was SO happy to be there.

We spent most of the time in the part that’s covered just to be safe. We did wander to the “garage sale” area in the field for a little bit to see if the dog supply person was there but they weren’t 😦

“Hmmm, what’s in that box?”

As I hoped, everyone we passed said, “Oh, how cute!” or “What a cute dog!” Two people even commented about my spots saying they’ve never seen such markings on a pup. I felt VERY special.

“All of those people are talking about ME, Mom!”

We stayed for a little over an hour and then Mom demanded that we go home before there was a repeat of yesterday’s catastrophe. It was fine with me. I was beat.

So tired.

It was nice to get out of the house. It was also very nice to come home and sleep because it is just very exhausting to be pet and “oohed” and “aahed” over.

I have another adventure on the books – tomorrow evening I finally get to Skype with my girl, Lexi! Lexi, sweetheart, I can’t wait to see you! Surely that will make me smile more ❤
