I almost completely forgot to tell you about our backyard adventure that happened before the park adventure!
It all started with this:
A gloomy Khia.
To try and cheer her up, Mom and Dad took us outside to play. Dad and Khia played fetch with her most favoritest toy – her rope!

Most of you know how I feel about “fetch” – dumbest thing EVER! So I just sat and watched from my “man cave” located under the back deck:
I love squishing my belly and bits in the cold dirt in my “man cave”. It makes me feel…manly.
No one is allowed in my “man cave”. Except Khia:
While we were outside, I paid a visit to Franklin who was eating a homegrown grape tomato:
Silly duck. At least she doesn’t chase me like Crisper and Conrad do. I think they conspire with Jamison.
Ahhh, yes. The perfect lead in for my next subject: Grooming Torture.
So, grooming in itself is bad enough. See pre-grooming, sad, puppy face here:
Add an evil cat and it is worse than ever.
What you are looking at is Jamison swiping under the door trying to grab my leg!!! He was going crazy and Mom actually laughed! Traitor….

I don’t get what’s so fascinating about fetch. Seems like a lot of work for nothing. Then again, I’m chunky and she isn’t 😕

Hi Noodle Buddy! How’s it goin’? I hope you’re being easy with Khia as she will still be missing Mya. As for Khia pointing? I think she just knows how to fist bump so perhaps you could train your Dad to fist bump (or get Khia to show him how to do it)? Finally grooming! What’s that? I get brushed or combed regularly…… but grooming???? Woof! Ray.

Hi Ray! I’m trying to be a good little brother but I’m SO bored!!! I just want her to play again. Hmm she does shake so maybe she would fist bump? Grooming…yes…I have a bone to pick with you and your dad! As you suggested, Mom let my tail grow out. I’ll have you know I almost chewed it clean off! Too much fur = pollen collector. It was SOOOOOOOO itchy!!! I’m allergic to pollen and I think when I went out and did my back wiggles, the pollen was getting lodged in the fluff. That’s why Mom keeps me naked, less hair to catch the pollen. *sigh*

Noodly buddy …………. do you really get pollen this time of year? We only get piles of dirty melting snow, ice, brown grass, brown plants and brown trees. Put me amongst that lot and you can hardly see me! 🙂

Everything is covered in yellow pollen right now. It’s disgusting! The stuff you’re describing sounds quite disgusting as well. If you put me in snow, the only way I’d stand out is from my spots!

Oh I wish I had such a man cave too… sadly my crib is made with granite stones… but it’s worth a try, right? :o) Franklin reminds me of Hell-mut, he ate a strawberry yesterday the same way like your duck. And my dad is green like the grinch with envy now as he saw your daddy’s action-arm hahahaha

Hi Noodle. I’m glad you’ve got your man cave. It is important to have a safe place where no one (mostly) bothers you. Mine is in my kennel, which is in Mom and Dad’s walk-in closet. The only problem is if something does come after you, there is only one way out. When my brother Riley was young, his head outgrew his body, and he looked like a T-Rex (that’s a big, flesh-eating dinosaur, in case you haven’t watched Jurassic Park). He would stick that big T-Rex head in the opening of my kennel and it was extremely frightening. It looks like you have plenty of room to run out of yours, though, if a T-Rex comes after you.

Hi Guys – What’s with this man cave stuff? I have a den (crate) in the kitchen but I only go there occasionally. The rule is that when I’m in there, nobody touches me …. but I like to be touched most of the time. I guess my man cave is the complete house??? Woof! Ray.

Your crate is your man cave. That is your sacred space that no one can bother you in. Maybe your big man cave can be outside in the garden by the bush/tree we saw you sitting under?

Jamison does enough to keep my on my toes. I have been researching levitation. That way I can steer clear of him. So far, no results.
