Hi, everyone! It’s the best day of the week – Thursday! Why? You should know this by now! Thursday is Mom’s Friday and she’s off for the weekend! Yay for Thursday!!
Now, let’s get down to business:
THERAPY
No, I do not need therapy. Well, okay, I probably do. FINE! I definitely need therapy BUT that’s not what this is about. I overheard Mom telling Dad the other day that she thinks I would make an excellent therapy dog. Her reasons:
- Snuggling and cuddles are my favorite thing in the world.
- I can sense when people are sad/sick and it draws me to them. I don’t move, I just let them pet me until they feel better.
- My goal is to make everyone smile.
- I love socializing.
- People often tell my parents that you can’t be in a bad mood when you’re around me.
Yesterday began Mom’s research into getting me trained and certified as a therapy dog. Cupcake, if you or your mom have any advice, please let us know. You can reach us on here, Facebook, or by emailing us at noodle4president@gmail.com. (Cupcake is a friend of mine that is a therapy dog. She’s really pretty AND we’re both named after food :-P)
I reaaaaally want to do this and it has been Mom’s dream since she was a teenager to have a therapy dog to bring to the children’s hospitals and to nursing facilities. Everyone can use a cuddle from this guy!
Moving on…
WARMTH
Today was a VERY chilly Florida day. It even snowed in Jacksonville!!! Khia and I have chosen to laze the day away. Mya was on maneuvers all day though. Mom thinks it’s because Mya isn’t normally here while Mom’s at work and it may have confused her.
When Mom got home from work, she put on our “fireplace”. It’s not real. It’s electric but holy moly does it get warm! Anywho, I may have made myself comfortable in front of it before she got the chance to do so herself.
Of course, Mom couldn’t resist and decided it was a perfect place for snuggles. She actually dozed off with Mya when I went outside to do my business!
I wasn’t being left out of that!
Soon after Dad took these awesome pictures of us, Mom got up. I stayed and cuddled with Mya for quite some time though. **WARNING** Before you look at the pictures below, please remember that Mya is 1/3 my size and only 7.4 lbs. Yes, I have gained some weight but I swear I’m not as huge as I look in this picture!!!
Hey! I said don’t judge me! My Noodley-senses are tingling….I can tell you just judged me!
So there you have it! My Thursday in a nutshell…or a blog…same thing. I hope to have stories of new adventures outside of the house tomorrow. Keep your paws and fingers crossed for me. Good night, all!
Hi Chunky Monkey! Sorry ……………. couldn’t resist, but you look as if you could lose some of that podge around the middle. You’ll feel so much “lighter” and generally much better, and more active (don’t tell your Mum and Dad) after you have lost a pound or two …. or three ………….. or!!!!!!!!!!!
Great news about the therapy business. We have a dog training place just around the corner and they do all sorts of stuff there for blind people, deaf people, handicapped people, and probably even train therapy dogs. Give it your best shot buddy. You can’t do more than that! Woof! Ray!
Oh…………. and NO MORE COOKIES for sometime!

I hope after Dad sees these pictures he’ll take my diet seriously. I don’t want to be fat!

Joking aside buddy, you’ll have a better chance at a long and healthy life if you can keep your weight under control. Perhaps your Mum could stress that to your Dad (she probably runs the house anyway!).

Mom has yelled at Dad about giving me treats ALL the time for all of my 3 years with them. She says the same things you’re saying.

Well buddy, perhaps he can give you treats, but not the baked ones. If you like carrots, perhaps he can give you just one slice as a treat (they do have sugar in them). Perhaps if he can find the time to walk you during the day to burn off some calories? I have quite a lot of treats also, but I do get out for some nice long walks.
Thinking of you buddy. I hope something can be worked out ‘cos you clearly are special and deserve a healthy life.

Don’t be cuckoo, N. Your size is PERFECT. One important part of being certified as a therapy dog is being a Canine Good Citizen. The akc.org website has the tasks that you need to learn to become a CGC. https://www.akc.org/events/cgc/training_testing.cfm Mom worked on this with me before we went to the screening. That’s a good place to start. Good luck.
Love and licks,
Cupcake

Perhaps I should do this as well. I only lunge and bark at people I don’t like. Everybody else is fine as long as they don’t stare at me and don’t think that they can touch me without getting to know me first! I think I just failed the test! 🙂
