KHIA GOT A BATH! For once, it wasn’t me. For once, she got soaked and lost all of her precious dirt. She was NOT happy about it and Mom is not happy because she pulled her back (which is why Khia never gets a bath).

She looks absolutely beautiful but she smelled AWFUL after! She is the only dog who smells worse during and after a bath than she did before the bath. It takes hours for her to dry, even with the help of a blower.

Not only did she get a bath but she also missed out on the fun today. I GOT TO GO TO THE FLEA MARKET!

As usual, the getting there part was horrible. For embarrassing evidence, check out this 14 second video Mom took: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=379026502276394&#8243. Yep, that’s me having a panic attack. Before you say that maybe it’s the crate, the crate actually helps, believe it or not. Yeah, it can actually get worse than what you see in the video.

15 grueling minutes after we left the house, we got to the flea market.

This particular flea market is an outdoor market with parts in open-air buildings. There were lots of dogs there but even better….LOTS OF PEOPLE! I got so many pets and so many people said, “Wow! You’re such a beautiful dog!”

That’s the face they see when they pet me. I am pretty darn cute 😉

Oh! The best part was when we walked past a booth that sells pet supplies. The owner asked Mom if I could have a treat and she said yes! This is what I got:

Canine Carry Outs! They were so super delicious. Keep in mind I haven’t had a dog treat in over a week now! Mom and Dad have swapped out our dog treats for baby carrots which I really do love but you can’t beat a meaty morsel!

After walking around for about an hour, it was time to head home. Like always, I didn’t make a peep on the way home which further leads Mom and Dad to believe that I panic because I am scared that the car ride is a one-way trip. Mom said that is why she is taking me places every weekend again. I know they love me and wouldn’t drop me off and not come back but I also thought my old owner wouldn’t do it to me and they did!

Anywho, we got home and I passed out. Do you ever sleep like this?

Mom calls me a frog when I do this. Man! I have a lot of spots!

This evening, Dad had to change a tire on his truck so I supervised.

.5 seconds before I saw a squirrel in the tree top and took off like lightning

I think that about covers my day. It was really busy and exciting. I can’t wait to find out where I am going next weekend! Did you go anywhere fun today?

**As promised, here’s a blooper of Khia after her bath**

About noodle4president

I was a discarded, lost little stray without a house or a family...until my mom found me. Now, I am the happiest, most loved dog in the whole world!

OMGoodness, Noodle! You sound like a little kitten in your panic box in the car. I hope you get better as you take more and more rides. It was 15 minutes from home to obedience school when Mom first adopted me. She drove as fast as she could and most of the time we made it before I vomited. Now I LOVE the car, and never get scared or sick. Practice makes perfect. Good luck, buddy.

    Love and licks,

  2. What a fun day! Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately my and Samantha’s day wasn’t quite as exciting… 🙂

Noodle, it’s pretty good that you’re able to be friendly with strangers admiring you in public at the flea market! I get nervous around new people at first, so I’m afraid the face they see at FIRST is a little less welcoming. I’m good after a minute or two seeing a new person in “the pack,” but not right away.

  4. Go ahead and mock Khia but remember, Noodle, what goes around, comes around! Karma can be a female dog if you know what I mean.
