Happy-New-Years-Eve-2015-19

Notice I chose a picture without fireworks? Whew! Last night was rough! It didn’t start out that way, though. Yesterday was actually a really fun day!

It started when Mom got out of work early and picked up my grandpa (her dad). We love him SO much!

"Keep telling me how much you love me, Grandpa!"

“Keep telling me how much you love me, Grandpa!”

Khia and I played war for Grandpa to make him smile:

Even Mya partied with us:

We were all on our best behavior:

Except Jamison…because he’s the devil.

And then…out of nowhere…the house shook like the world was ending. I don’t know why I was scared last night. I’m never scared of fireworks. On Christmas Eve I sat with Mom and watched them with her. I think it’s because these were REALLY close and REALLY loud and REALLY shook the walls and floor.

I can’t remember if I was living on the streets on New Year’s Eve. Mom found me on January 10th. Maybe subconsciously I was thinking about that night back in 2012? I don’t know. I just know that second to living on the streets, last night was the worst night of my life. I know that I’m lucky to have Mom, Dad, and Grandpa though. They did everything they could to make me comfortable.

Right before the night turned awful.

Right before the night turned awful.

The beginning of the freak out.

The beginning of the freak out.

Starting to calm down a little...2 hours later.

Starting to calm down a little but still panting like crazy….

Everyone started getting REALLY tired around 11:30. Especially me because my Xanax finally kicked in.

I finally found comfort in Grandpa:

“Can I sit with you, please?”

Before we knew it, it was time for the countdown and, just like that, 2014 was gone and 2015 was here! We celebrated with a selfie that I made it into because I was on the couch!!!

Dad gave us so much love.

I was very relieved when we got to go to bed at 1:00. I slept right between Mom and Dad because it was super safe there. Normally I sleep next to Mom only. When we got into bed, my head literally flopped on the pillow. I woke up this morning feeling like a new dog. Well, other than being embarrassed a little.

I hope all of you had a safe and enjoyable New Year’s Eve! I look forward to sharing 2015 with you 🙂

I was a discarded, lost little stray without a house or a family...until my mom found me. Now, I am the happiest, most loved dog in the whole world!

Looks like you had a great one, Noodle! Ironically I was taking care of my sick Mama! I think you know what that’s all about. 😉 Good to see you got Mya involved, too! You’re definitely earning the vote from the Ween bloc here, BOL

    • Oh, no! Your poor mom! I hope she feels better soon and listens to her doctor’s orders better than my mom did. Some tips: give lots of cuddles, minimal licks (sometimes it bothers my mom when she’s sick), and try not to wiggle too much if you’re laying near her.
